Computer Cafe (Daytime Class)

This class is a computer lab designed to offer a space for people to access computer support from an experienced teacher, compassionate volunteers and fellow participants. You will be given instruction, as well as support, in accessing information for learning new skills on your own. This is an open enrollment lab and you purchase a punch card for 6 sessions. Punch cards can be renewed. Students enrolled in our academic programs receive a fee waiver for this lab. BYOC (bring your own coffee)!
When you register for this class, you’ll receive a follow-up contact from our advisor to access your skills, goals, and interests. This is an in-person lab; ongoing enrollment.

AMP Dental Assistant (Feb)
with Academy of Medical Professions

Dental Assisting Certification is one of the most high-demand careers. This program is designed to teach all aspects of dental assisting and provide you with the skills you need to work in this field and to pass a national certificate exam. This program is taught by a dentist and includes an opportunity for internships. The price of the course includes all books, exam preparation materials and fees for the DANB RHS® certificate program. Upon passing the DANB RHS®, you will receive a certificate of knowledge based on competency for that component from DANB. Payment plans are available. The classroom hours are live online with one in-person lab day in a dental office based on student's location and availability. This course is also available asynchronosly online and you can start anytime.

Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables-Basics

What can you do with Excel Pivot Tables? A better question is what can’t you do? The Pivot Table function is probably one of the more powerful and useful tools in Excel. You will learn how to prepare your data for use in a pivot table, create your first pivot table, customize various structures of your table, design your table, and create calculated fields and items. This is live online class using ZOOM.

He is experienced in college management and, as an adult educator having taught at the Mid-State College and Kennebec Valley Community College. Quickbooks: Basic Accounting Principles for Quickbooks Online (Apr)

Google Docs: Basics
with Vanessa Richards

Google docs is an invaluable and easy to use online tool similar to Microsoft Word. It's free, accessible from all devices and is super easy to share. Learn how to create documents, master useful formatting functions, share documents with others, and more as time permits. This workshop will introduce you to these features and share resources for futher learning. This is an in-person class.
Makeup class, if needed, 04/25/23.
You’ll need a Gmail account for this workshop, and will need to know your account username and password. It’s ideal if you access your Gmail on the web vs. a computer-based program. If you’re not sure what this means, please contact us and we’ll be glad to assist you! Google applications are free and are a practical way to learn programs without invessting in software.
Vanessa loves working with adult learners. She is really easy to be around and makes people extremely comfortable; she even makes learning math and computers fun! She is committed to helping adults discover their strengths, build their confidence, and realize they can accomplish their goals. In her free time, she loves to travel and explore the outdoors. Vanessa teaches math, science, technology, and provides college and career advising.
