Gentle Fitness for Health (Mar)

This class offers seated strength and flexibility exercises to improve mobility and fall prevention. All exercises will support people with arthritis, osteoporosis and other health concerns if they are cleared by their primary care provider. This is a live, online class using ZOOM;

Social Ballroom Dance

Learn different dances each week - Partner Hustle, Salsa, Mambo, Rhumba, East Coast Swing, ChaCha, NightClub Two-Step, Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Charleston. Learn different dances eac Learn the basics or improve on what you already know, and have fun! No dance experience necessary. Dance shoes strongly suggested. David Lamon is an experienced teacher, dancer and choreographer who has studied and taught a wide variety of dance forms and techniques. Whether he is teaching jazz, modern, improv, or ballroom, David’s classes are fun, engaging, and demonstrate a thoughtful attention to the foundations of each dance. Whatever the form, David believes that dance is a doorway to the synchronistic creativity of being in the moment.
Tai Yoga (Mar)

A practice that will involve a series of slow, rhythmic movements and physical postures, meditation, controlled breathing, stretching and strength for the mind and body! This is a live, online class using ZOOM.

Watercolor Basics (Mar)

Watercolor Painting is an exciting medium; it flows and moves and does beautiful things. Instructor Mary Laury has been recognized for her work by the Maine Arts Commission. Participants will do landscapes and seascapes in this 4-session course. If you have never painted in watercolors we will start at the beginning. If you have painted before, you may pick up some new tips and tricks as well. We all learn together! This is an in-person course.

Painting Flowers (Mar)

Paint flower portraits realistically. You will paint pictures of flowers in detail, but more painterly than a scientific illustration. We won’t count veins, but we will count petals! Painting flowers is a wonderful exercise in observation. This is an in-person class. Makeup class, if needed, 04/08/25.

Google Sheets: Keep Track of It!

Google Sheets are spreadsheet files. Spreadsheets were traditionally ledgers for financial recordkeeping, but now are used for organizing, tracking and retrieving all kinds of information. Google Sheets is a user friendly, online tool similar to Microsoft Excel. It’s free, accessible from all devices and is easy to share. Learn how to create a basic spreadsheet, format and reorganize information, and use simple formulas and filters. This is an in-person class; makeup class.
You’ll need a Gmail account for this workshop, and will need to know your account username and password. It’s ideal if you access your Gmail on the web vs. a computer-based program. If you’re not sure what this means, please contact us and we’ll be glad to assist you! Google applications are free and are a practical way to learn programs without investing in software.
Vanessa loves working with adult learners. She is really easy to be around and makes people extremely comfortable; she even makes learning math and computers fun! She is committed to helping adults discover their strengths, build their confidence, and realize they can accomplish their goals. In her free time, she loves to travel and explore the outdoors. Vanessa teaches math, science, technology, and provides college and career advising.
Maple Tree Delights and Sweet Treats Workshop

It's that time of the year when the sap comes up from the roots of a maple tree and starts to feed the tree new buds. This is when we tap the maples to gather the sap and boil it down to make maple syrup or other yummy, sweet products. Join us to learn the basics of maple syruping and how you could start making your own maple syrup in your own backyard! This is an in-person class.
