The word “mindfulness” is popping up in all kinds of places these days, in education, healthcare, corporate board rooms, and even in the NFL and NBA. In this four-session series we will start with an overview of mindfulness and how it can help us reduce stress and then share information about the biology of stress and how we can consciously activate our relaxation response through simple and easy to use techniques. We will also look at the positive aspects of stress, and how we can learn to “stress better”. You’ll have the opportunity to experience and practice different relaxation techniques and you will leave with tools that can be used in your everyday life. Jen is a Mindfulness and Meditation teacher, with a B.A. in Psychology, committed to helping people manage stress and live mindfully and meaningfully. Makeup class (if needed) 03/28/18.
