Learn to Play Chess: Game, Sport, Art or Science?

Chess improves memory, problem solving, critical thinking, and many other cognitive functions. Join us as we discover the beauty and challenge of this fascinating ancient game. In this low-pressure and fun class, we will will begin with the very basics of board orientation and piece movement, and continue by exploring strategical and tactical concepts until each student is able to play and enjoy a competent game of chess.
The registration fee includes tournament chess pieces, a roll-up board and storage bag. Makeup class (if needed) 04/02/19.
