Certified Nursing Assistant PLUS
with Nance Eaton
Free
Ellsworth Adult & Community Education is working with MDI Hospital and Birch Bay Village to offer a Certified Nursing Assistant PLUS course which meets the newly reduced state requirement of 130 hours (70 hours of classroom, 20 hours of lab and 40 hours of clinical experience).
Additionally, CNA PLUS offers BLS, CPR & First Aid, Digital Literacy Certification and a WorkReady credential. Interested students can begin on the Northstar Digital Literacy and WorkReady Credentials anytime. Getting a head start will lesson your load during the class sessions.
Classroom sessions are online, the lab sessions are in-person at Hancock County Technical Center in Ellsworth, and the clinical sessions are on MDI. As a result of feedback from employers, we are complementing our CNA program with two additional standards-based work readiness and digital literacy courses. Upon successful completion of this course, passing the State CNA exam and successful acceptance to the State Registry, students will be state-certified CNAs.
- This is a hybrid course (combination of live online and in-person learning).
- A CNA PLUS Orientation session is required. Please read through the attached materials before attending the orientation session to make sure all your questions are answered!
- Attached please find the Fall 2023 CNA Schedule; CNA Application Packet; Syllabus, and Skills Listing.
