Heartsaver Adult and Pediatric First Aid CPR AED (Session 2)

A classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use, and is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid, CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. Makeup class, if needed, 05/15/20.
Downeast Picklers! Introduction to Pickleball (Session 3) Cheryl Claibourn

This three-week course will cover the basic rules for playing the sport of pickleball, as well as the use of strategy as a way to win points. Emphasis will be placed on safety when moving on the courts. Pickleball is played with a paddle and wiffle ball, which will be provided for student use.
No additional equipment is needed except for clean athletic shoes (no street shoes are allowed on the courts). The first hour and a half of each session will be for instruction, with the remainder of the course time available for open play. Come prepared to have fun! Makeup class (if needed) 07/06/20.
